Vienna

The city is world-famous for its magnificent imperial heritage, including Schönbrunn Palace, Belvedere Palace, and Hofburg Palace.

Vienna scores like no other city with its exceptional music and cultural programme in concert halls, museums, and on stages, from the Golden Hall in the Musikverein to the renowned Kunsthistorische Museum (Museum of Art History) right up to the Vienna State Opera. Vienna is also synonymous with a tradition of refined tasteful enjoyment that has established itself over centuries in coffee houses and wine taverns.

And last but not least, over half of Vienna's urban area comprises relaxing green spaces, parks and gardens, the Vienna Woods and the Danube Floodplains.

A walk through Vienna is like going on a journey through time to the imperial past. No wonder UNESCO named the historical city centre a World Heritage Site. Vienna boasts more than 27 castles and 163 palaces. On every corner, you can discover valuable cultural artefacts or dream of the good old imperial period in a coffeehouse.

The city is world-renowned for its art, culture, and magnificent imperial heritage, as well as for its culinary delicacies.

Vienna scores like no other city worldwide for its exceptional music and cultural offerings in concert halls, museums, and on the stage—from the Golden Hall at the Musikverein to the renowned Kunsthistorisches Museum Vienna to the Vienna State Opera. Vienna is also known for its love and culture of enjoyment, one that has been developed and sustained in traditional coffee houses and wine taverns over centuries.

Walking through Vienna is like travelling back in time to the imperial past - so it is no surprise that the city centre has been selected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In Vienna alone, there are about 30 castles and over 160 palaces. You can discover places of cultural significance on every corner or daydream about the golden imperial age while in a café.

Vienna is a conveniently compact city where everything is close at hand and easily reachable by public transportation.

Vienna's outstanding and easy-to-use public transportation system is perfect for getting to and from meetings on time. The citywide Wiener Linien-operated network covers around 1,150 kilometers. Each day, regular, reliable services take visitors and residents to their destinations by subway, tram, or bus.

Alternatively, you can navigate the urban jungle on foot at your own pace or pick up a WienMobil rental bike. Shared mobility solutions are increasingly important in the capital's transport mix, with car sharing, e-mopeds and e-scooters all playing a part.
